Soil: Use fertile, well-draining soil. Avoid leaving the roots in waterlogged conditions.

Water: Keep the plug and root zone evenly moist while the plant establishes. Water according to your climate and growing conditions.

Pruning: Pinch growing tips once the plant is established to encourage fuller growth and additional leafy shoots.

Spacing: Allow approximately 8–12 inches between plants, adjusting as they grow and depending on your desired planting density.

A versatile herb for your garden

African Blue Basil can add fragrant foliage to herb gardens, patio containers, and ornamental plantings. Its flowers can attract visiting pollinators when in bloom. Use the leaves in cooking only after confirming the plant’s identity and suitability for your intended culinary use.
