Growing and Care Guide

Light: Camellias generally grow well in partial shade or bright filtered light. Protect plants from intense afternoon sun, especially in hot climates. Specific light needs can vary by cultivar and local conditions.

Water: Water regularly to maintain evenly moist soil without leaving the roots sitting in water. Check moisture levels during hot or dry weather.

Soil: Use acidic, organically rich, well-draining soil suitable for camellias.

Outdoor placement: Choose a sheltered location with good drainage and protection from harsh conditions where possible. Check that your local climate is appropriate for the plant.

After arrival: Allow the starter plant time to adjust to its new environment. Monitor soil moisture and avoid unnecessary disturbance immediately after shipping.

Seasonal Garden Interest

Camellias offer year-round foliage interest and can produce ornamental flowers during their seasonal bloom period. Flowering depends on plant maturity, cultivar identity, weather, and growing conditions; blooms are not guaranteed at delivery.
