Growing guidance

This species is best suited to warm, humid conditions and a spacious outdoor location. Provide bright light, fertile soil with good drainage, and consistent moisture while the plant establishes. Protect young plants from cold temperatures and check local climate suitability before planting outdoors.

Cannonball trees can become very large at maturity, so allow plenty of room and consider mature size before selecting a permanent planting location. Growing, flowering, and fruiting times depend on climate, plant age, and care.
